Why I'm Choosing to Serve at Riverside Farms in Zambia
For me, student missions is not just a choice -- it is a calling. I have had the desire to do medical missionary work since I was young, and finally the Lord has opened a way for me to do just that. Jesus has done so much for me, it is the least I can do to give a little of my time to Him. I have a purpose: to tell the world about my dearest friend and Savior Jesus Christ in whatever way possible, whether through my words, actions, or demeanor. My heart is burning with a desire to go out and touch those who are hurting, and I believe that God will bless my efforts and bring me to those who need Him most. The clinic at Riverside Farms is a government funded-facility where I will be working with other medical missionaries and experienced Zambian nurses. I hope to show the love of Jesus in a tangible way by providing the rural community surrounding Riverside Farms with excellent nursing care.
Why donations are important
Each year Southern Adventist University sends out more than 60 full-time student missionaries. I have agreed to raise $4,000 for Southern's Student Missions program. The funds raised will collectively help cover our airfare, visas, insurance training, and care packages. I am excited to serve as a student missionary! Will you help me reach my goal? Whatever you are able to give is greatly appreciated by the 2023-24 student missionaries, the people we will serve, and also myself.
Student Missions at Southern
For over 50 years Student Mission has been equipping students to serve as the hands and feet of Jesus, reaching people with the gospel around the world. Students spend four to twelve months learning to live beyond the borders of their faith. It is our deepest desire to see lives changing for the kingdom of Christ. in me.
All gifts received go toward the expenses of this year’s student missionaries. If we exceed our goal, the remaining funds will be applied toward the expenses of future student missionaries.
