Student Missions at Southern
Thank you for supporting Student Missions! You have help to meet my portion of our fundraising goal. Any additional funds will go to help fellow student missionaries this year.
For over 50 years Student Mission has been equipping students to serve as the hands and feet of Jesus, reaching people with the gospel around the world. Students spend four to twelve months learning to live beyond the borders of their faith. It is our deepest desire to see lives changing for the kingdom of Christ.
Why donations are important
Each year Southern Adventist University sends out more than 60 full-time student missionaries. I have agreed to raise $5000 for Southern's Student Missions program. The funds raised will collectively help cover our airfare, visas, insurance training, and care packages. I am excited to serve as a student missionary! Will you help me reach my goal? Whatever you are able to give is greatly appreciated by the 2022-23 student missionaries, the people we will serve, and also myself.
Why I'm Choosing to Serve in Tanzania
Hello! My name is Michaela Lohr and I have chosen to answer my call as a student missionary this upcoming year. I am a Junior attending Southern Adventist University, where I have been studying Biology with a Biomedical emphasis. Growing up as a missionary kid in Nigeria, it became my dream to pursue long term missions. I feel that God has called me to serve, help those in need, and share Christ’s love wherever I may be. I am so excited for this amazing opportunity, and can’t wait to share! I will be located at Heri Adventist Hospital in Tanzania, along with two other student missionaries. We will be helping in ministry for the church, nursing school, nearby elementary school, and hospital.
How will my donation be used?
All gifts received go toward the expenses of this year’s student missionaries. If we exceed our goal, the remaining funds will be applied toward the expenses of future student missionaries.
